IT OPENS CALCULATOR BACK IN YOUR ORIGINAL DESKTOP and now you can't see your two snapped windows. Now you want to open calculator, you hover over the dock and click calculator. mac creates a new desktop with these two windows. User scenario using Mac's window snapping. then when you want to open a 3rd window/app, it takes you back to the original desktop. BetterSnapTool is described as 'utility that mimics Windows 7 Aero snap, allowing you to easily manage your window positions and sizes by either dragging them to one of your screens corners or to the top, left or right side of your screen' and is a Window Manager in the os & utilities category. It opens a NEW SPACE and places your two snapped windows in a new space/desktop. You're thinking of Better Snap Tool which is a direct app competitor. I love rectangle (I have it on all my Macs), but it's not even in the same category as BetterTouchTool. I personally cannot believe the poor design of mac's native 'window snapping'. Queen6 said: Rectangle free and works well, not as advanced as BetterTouchTool, equally good enough to manage windows etc. My guess is Apple (Craig Federighi) doesn't allow developers to use this feature, because that's what users want. It also allows users to create custom snap areas and set custom keyboard shortcuts. Windows does this natively and even mac's own (janky) implementation of window snapping does this. BetterSnapTool is a productivity app for Mac that allows users to easily manage window positions and sizes by dragging them to one of the screen's corners or sides. After snapping one window, does Rectangle 'group' the other open windows in the open space to allow the user to choose what to snap next? This is a huge feature missing from all these 3rd party snap tools for mac.
